Urvashi Sharma is a dedicated legal professional with over a decade of experience in diverse areas of law, combining courtroom advocacy with public service and multidisciplinary consulting. She graduated in 2014 with a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Her journey in law began with a placement at Gambhir and Jurist, where she worked as a Junior Advocate handling matters before the Delhi Development Authority. There, she gained valuable experience in drafting legal deeds, registration processes, and filing applications under the Right to Information Act before various public authorities such as the NDMC, MCD, CPWD, and DDA.

She then stepped into active litigation under the guidance of Ms. Jaya Tomar, a seasoned advocate and empanelled counsel for the State Bank of India. During this time, Urvashi handled a wide range of civil and matrimonial matters, including suits for recovery, execution petitions, appeals, and DRT cases. She also worked on criminal complaints under the Negotiable Instruments Act, divorce proceedings, domestic violence cases, and maintenance claims. Her courtroom involvement included preparing arguments, conducting evidence, and assisting in cross-examinations before Civil Courts, the DRT, and the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.

In addition to litigation, she managed several non-judicial matters, such as the registration of wills, powers of attorney, gift deeds, and marriage certificates before Sub-Divisional Magistrate offices across Delhi.

Urvashi further honed her litigation skills as Legal Assistant to Mr. Gopal Singh, Advocate-on-Record and Standing Counsel for the States of Bihar and Tripura. There, she regularly assisted in matters before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India—drafting Special Leave Petitions, counter affidavits, and PILs, and handling procedural rectifications in sensitive cases, including those of national interest.

Alongside her professional commitments, she pursued her LL.M. from Kurukshetra University (2016–2018), reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and academic growth.

In 2019, Urvashi joined the law firm The Legal Remedy, working as a Legal Consultant under the mentorship of Dr. Sumant Bhardwaj, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court. She contributed to matters concerning succession, consumer protection, recovery suits, and public interest litigation, with a focus on clients from Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

When the legal profession faced a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, Urvashi turned the challenge into an opportunity—immersing herself in preparation for the Judicial Services Examinations under the mentorship of Mr. Rahul, founder of Rahul’s IAS.

In 2024, she launched her own independent legal practice under the name The Law Office of Urvashi Sharma, in association with a team of skilled legal practitioners operating before the District Courts, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court, and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Her office handles a wide range of legal matters, including matrimonial disputes, civil suits, criminal cases, cheque bounce complaints, land disputes in Uttar Pradesh, and government-related litigation.

She is also empanelled with the South District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) at Saket Court, New Delhi, serving as Legal Aid Counsel on the Civil Panel, through which she provides free legal aid to underprivileged and marginalized communities—upholding her deep belief in justice for all.

In addition to litigation, Urvashi’s law office has grown into a multidisciplinary legal and financial advisory. Collaborating with a team of qualified Chartered Accountants, her office offers clients a full suite of services including Taxation Advisory, GST compliance and litigation, Income Tax matters, Business Registration, ROC compliance, and other statutory requirements. This integrated model ensures clients receive both legal and financial solutions under one roof.

Her office also provides comprehensive legal services related to the solemnisation and registration of marriages under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and the Special Marriage Act, 1954, across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
